What an idiot. The reason people like the X Box so much is that it is so close to PC. This allows for all this wonderful software that is available for chipped X Boxes to run.

Another thing is you would need an a fairly decent PC with atleast a geforce3 expensive VGA card to get the same effects and then you've got the issues of crashing and compatability.

I love my PC, and even though with the right hardware it would jump up and down over the X Box. You can't beat the fact that the X Box doesn't crash. Doesn't require updating drivers for new games that prevent other software installed from working. Don't require an install and then reading a read me file because the thing won't work.

It's a simple case of slap in the disk. Turn the beauty on, and away you go. As for it being a chunk. I like that. When you place it somehwhere it stays there. It keeps it nice and solid on the ground. This is excellent as DVD's that vibrate from leaning can cause errors when playing (This happened with my PS2)

So in closing this guy needs to get a life. The X Box is more powerful than anything currently on the market. The games are slow in coming but hey, a small price to pay.

I don't think he likes gaming all that much and should go forth and multiply.

i went to a lan party last weekend over at a friends house and i had my xbox on for 14 hours NON stop, i turned it on at 8pm and i didnt turn it off till 10am the next morning, and i looked in the system info (evo x) and it said that the mobo temp was 98f when i turned it on, and 116f when i turned it off, and the chip was about the same, this thing does not over heat. yes if you had it in a room where it was 100f and you blocked the fan then yes it would over heat. i say that these ppl can afford to buy one (they arnt that much) or like fusionmonster said, they hate it cuss its a mini PC. thats what some of my friends said. yea well, i like my little pc in a box. i hate to say it, but my xbox is more powerfull than the pc that i im typing this on. tear.

Things like this dont really get to me that much, but when i go to a ps2 forum just to post or talk or what not, it never fails, there are so many threads that only bash xbox, and what is sad is they talk about Halo more than we do, and most of the time its one honest guy talking about if he should get an xbox too and wants to play halo cuz he played at a friends house linked up and had the time of his life, and the 1000 other members come and post how Halo sux or isnt even that good, or how the sorriest multiplayer FPS ever made (timesplitters) (okay not the "sorriest") is better than halo. It gets old. You will RARELY ever see on any major xbox forum, threads that are made soley for the purpose to just bash PS2. This is about as close as they get to it. Sure we may post a funny comment or two here and there, but they just take it to the extreme.

I used to agree with this guy till my friend brought his xbox over with halo and i quickly went and bought one. The only other aspect that this guy even remotely makes sense in would be the controller statement...the old style controller was horrible, i must say, but ms already fixed that problem...
