What do you think the xbox NEXT will be like?

I think it will be a bigger leap then there was between the psone, and ps 2, it mite just be me, but I have a lot of freaking fate in microsoft, I am pretty sure they won't come up on top by the end of this battle, but the next battle being the xbox nevt vs ps 3, xbox will win a HUGE battle, and will be on the road to winning the war. Whats your folks views???

they should pick a controller design and stick with it, it is just to hard to swith back and forth between the big one and the small one, this is very noticible in Halo, because the grenade button is very vital and placed in very different locations.

Well if Xbox Next is a 2005 release - Im guessing most of the below

Obviously - Excess of 2ghz processor, 512m Ram, 128 meg Video ATI

TIVO style hd 80gig or greater - multi function hd - Tv recording feature etc

Wireless controls (standard) - with inbuilt recharging
VGA compat - geez why did they leave this feature off
Wireless network inbuilt ( no nasty blue cables)
Progressive scan compat DVD playback
Keyboard and mouse ( wireless)
Email - Live feature

Live enabled games available on release
HALO 3 , KOTOR 2 , DOA 5, etc etc
backward compat with Xbox 1 games

Shame Xbox wasnt Dreamcast compat - I loved that early xbox rumour

Halo 2 is said to be the last of the series although im expecting it to be the last on xbox and then suprisingly with a comback on xbox3

of course they will have to compete in "size" with ps3 and also make sure they overpower ps3 because right now ps2 fans are still confused that xbox has no good titles so if they still think that when ps3 comes out and we underpower ps3 also... what would we have to offer

the thing microsoft has to do is find a way to draw sony fanboys away from their playstations. playstation fanboys are so addicted to only that console most of the time it is really rediculous

they are still convinced we only have big controllers and that our only prize is halo...which they say isnt even that good and try to compare to time splitters 2 which is a joke

Strategy....
-Market XBOX2 in a very strategical way...
-PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE
-Must offer just as much as sony and more that goes for software and hardware
-XBOX 2 will probably not win the second race... the second race is its big chance... improve xbox live to make it irresistable...get mroe exclusive titles that a true gamer cannot live without... offer a more extensive library of games that PS users love.... even though they get old... xbox2 is xbox's chance to shine

as far as im concerned ive recently traded all PS2 products of mine in...xbox's library of games is becoming more promising month by month. hopeuflly they will keep up the good work until the 2005/6 period so more people will be drawn to xbox2

i dont think ms will let you play the old games on the xbox2, sony did that yes, but we all know ms is cheap. it would also be nice if you could use the same controllers, but i dont think they will let us.

In all honesty it really is physically imposible to make something that cant be hacked. ...but of course there is the poitn were you just make something so blatantly easy to hack. ...it just comes down to wether or not it too time consuming or cost effective to do so.

I think the only way the xbox next is going to be unmodable is if they coat it in teflon based polycarbonate resin. and weld a sheet of titanium to the board.
