Ive just noticed that my personal favorite PS2 site has closed. I log on and there is a message saying goodbye and thanking the members that have supported them in the past. Dont know what the heck happened, last night there was no indication of them going down.

PS2newz.net will surley be missed by myself as it was the only place with all of the information and quality members for the PS2 community.

Now, do all the console modding sites get some kind of pressure to close down by the companies that think they are heavily affected by the modding community? Is XBox100 or any other XBox forums being pressured by anyone to close or alter the content of the site.

Thanks, just being curious.

if you suspect it was a legal matter that shut them down, you should do some investigating.

start with finding out the hosting info. particully who and where. then search newspapers etc for court orders and such. i doubt the court records would be archived online and if they were it wouldnt be completely up to date.

My guess is that they are upgrading servers or redesigning their site. Of course, xboxhackz had listed there server change for a LONG time...and you still can't log on to the forums.
