Adding LED’s to your controller-S

Want to make your new blue or green controller S glow? Don’t Know how? Here's the info you'll need!

WARNING! I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGE YOUR CONTROLLER, YOURSELF, OR ANYTHING ELSE.

(Anyways, this is a fun mod to do...Not too hard either)

Time required, 5-10 min.

Tools required:

LED's of your choice (blue, red, etc)

100 ohm resistor for each LED

   Wire-Enough to place where wanted

   Hot glue or Tape

   Soldering Iron, solder, etc.

And now, how to do it!

1: Open your controller, there is a total of Seven (7) screws to take out (One’s under the sticker in the middle)

2: Locate where you would like to place the LED’s, usually it is good to place them in the bottom of the ‘handles’, in the memory card slots, behind the jewel, and next to the A B X Y buttons.

3: Locate the 5v Points in the controller, there are a total of three, the cable connecting to the console, and on the memory card slots.  On the memory card slots, looking from the top of the controller, the far right is 5v, far left is ground, On the bottom slot, it’s the opposite (5v on left, Ground on right). On the cable, red is 5v, black is Ground. Here are pictures of how I soldered mine:

When soldering the LED’s to power, make sure you put a resistor first going to the + Side of the LED. Then solder the – To a ground point.

Rumble LED’S:

Adding Rumble LED’s is quick and easy, Look at the picture to see how to wire, one 100 oHm resistor for each LED is needed:

And the finished product!!!

Tada! You’ve got yourself a glowing controller!
