Use at your own risk! I assume no responsibility if you crack your xbox case, or ruin your xbox. Sorry no pics. Tools: xbox - no duh freezer - um....no really! small rubber mallet, or something to tap the jewel out Nail Polish remover (MUST BE ACETONE FREE!) Q-Tips Clean towel or clean shop cloth (something with a fairly smooth material) Jewel removal 1. remove metal shielding from xbox case (lid portion, where the jewel is) 2. put xbox case lid in freezer for 20 - 30 mins (previously published freezer method) Be careful, you can crack your xbox case if not careful! 3) Sharply, but carefully tap the bottom circle (opposite side of where the jewel is) with anything blunt (I used a large handle of a screwdriver) . Jewel should just pop off. 4) remove black stick adhesive from jewel. Should come off easily if still cold, otherwise, use fingernails to peel it off. Jewel Cleaning (Seems to be safe for Silver XBOX Text) 1) Apply small amount of nail polish (acetone free) using a q-tip, 2) work in small sections, use lots of qtips. rub gently until green is removed. It's SEEMS to be ok to get some nail polish remover on the silver text - in small amounts. 3) re-apply with clean q-tip until each section is clear. 4) repeat until all the green is gone 5) wash of jewel in water 6) rub the lewel vigorously on a clean dry towel until clear. 7) repeat until you are satisfied with clarity of the jewel.
