Tools needed:
-PNY 64mb Thumbdrive
-1 5mm LED (color of your choice)
-1 100ohm resistor
-Small flat screwdriver
-15 watt Soldering pencil
-Solder (I used 0.032" diameter)
-Wire (good gauge to handle the power...yeh)
-Hot glue gun with glue stick ;)

1. Crack open the thumbdrive with the flat screwdriver. Be careful getting the thing open. You'll want the seams to look nice ;)

2. The far left contact is USUALLY 5v for the USB. Safe to assume this and it may be safer to check with a voltmeter or multimeter if available. Solder the resistor to the positive contact of the USB connector. Make sure you clear all other metal contacts.

3. The far right contact on USB is usually GND. So our negative(-) leg goes here. Solder your wire to it. Then solder the resistor and wire to the LED. The longer leg is (+) and the shorter is (-). If your LED leads have been trimmed and you forget, look in the lens of the LED. The fat connector is the anode or (-) and the smaller is the cathode (+). That will keep you straight.

4. Give it a test run before we get much furthur. If all goes well, unplug it and get the hot glue ready. Spread an even layer of glue throughout the casing. The hot glue will diffuse the light of the LED and evenly spread it about the case. Be sure to not fill too much so that you can still close the casing. When you are ready clip the top back on. If it does not clip back on, glue it on!
5. Connecting the Thumbdrive to the Xbox requires a cable to be made to accept USB to XboxUSB. Take a extension cable end of an Xbox, and an extension cable end of USB. The receiving end of the USb and the dongle for the Xbox will be the kept ends. Then connect the same wires on those cables and go from there. Full details for that cable is another mod, as well as getting the drive to work ;)
